The series depicts the aftermath of the Great War of 2077, an apocalyptic nuclear exchange between the United States and China in an alternate history of Earth where advances in nuclear technology after WWII led to the emergence of a retrofuturistic society and a subsequent resource war.
Those About to Die
The series title references the Latin greeting made to the Emperor at the games, Ave Caesar, morituri te salutant, “Hail Caesar, those about to die salute you”.
Anthracite
An old case is wrenched open when a reporter goes missing, leading his web sleuth daughter to a small mountain town haunted by a sect, secrecy, and death.
