Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Project Hail Mary is a 2021 science fiction novel by American novelist Andy Weir. Set in the near future, it centers on junior high (middle) school-teacher-turned-astronaut Ryland Grace, who wakes up from a coma afflicted with amnesia. He gradually remembers that he was sent to the Tau Ceti solar system, 12 light-years from Earth, to find a means of reversing a solar dimming event that could cause the extinction of humanity.
Sacamantecas by Vic Echegoyen
Vic Echegoyen creates an intrigue that is maintained on every page of Sacamantecas. And it leaves us with a series of doubts: How does a person become a murderer: Is he born or is he made? What is decisive for being a criminal: instinct, childhood, or the society in which he develops?
The Bad Guys by Aaron Blabey
The Bad Guys is an illustrated children’s graphic novel series by Australian author Aaron Blabey. The book series centers around a gang of anthropomorphic animals known as the Bad Guys who attempt to perform good deeds to change society’s perception of them as criminals, despite their efforts usually going wrong.
Paradais by Fernanda Melchor
Paradais (originally titled Páradais in Spanish) is a novel by Mexican author Fernanda Melchor. It was published in its original Spanish in 2021 by Literatura Random House. An English translation by Sophie Hughes was published in 2022 by Fitzcarraldo Editions and New Direction Books.

Sea of Tranquility is a 2022 novel by the Canadian writer Emily St. John Mandel. It is Mandel’s sixth novel and a work of speculative fiction. Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, the novel considers “what constitutes reality, how time flows, and what memory is in the context of perception” by pondering the simulation hypothesis and time travel.
