Hi everyone!
Today I want to talk about a very important topic: How to keep our clients! As freelancers, we know how important it is to make sure that our clients keep coming back to us for their translations and other services.
We also know that the translation field is a highly competitive one, especially for some language pairs like English to Spanish.
So, what should we do to stand out in a pool filled with experienced translators? Here are some tips that you might find helpful:

High-Quality Work
A guaranteed way to keep our clients coming back for more is if we deliver high-quality work before the deadline. This will always be considered a great trait for any translator who wishes to have a constant workflow.
Specializations
Although we have spoken before about whether or not specializations are a good idea or not, having a specialization that not many other translators have might help us to keep our clients.
Other Services
Yes, we are translators, but we can do more than just translate, right? We can offer other services like proofreading, editing, reviewing, localization, transcreation, and subtitling, among many more.
Offering other services is a secure way to get more work. Once our client knows our array of services, they will likely come back to us not just for translations but for any other of the services we offer.
These services might actually come to you as a surprise. I never thought I’d become a Content Editor for a language-learning platform, and yet, here I am as one for over a year! We just need to explore more opportunities and learn as much as we can.

When you decide to go ahead and take on a job you’ve never done, you will likely get trained by the client. This is important to take an advantage of because it will help you not just with one client but with many more.
As long as we keep our clients happy, they will always want to work with us!
What about you? What are your secrets for keeping your clients? What other services do you offer as a translator? I can’t wait to read all about it in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe!
