We are now full in the fever of the football World Cup!!
This time around the tournament takes place in Russia and with 32 teams from different countries participating, proper translation and interpretation are very necessary.
What do you think are the biggest translation/interpretation mistakes that can happen during a sports event like this?
One that I have seen so far is that many times the players and the referee don’t understand each other, even if they all speak English as their second language.
With so many players and referees speaking different languages and probably not the best English, there is no surprise that things get lost in translation 😉
